What is AI Historian?

AI Historian is an AI agent system for organizing person-time evidence dispersed across historical biographical narratives. It identifies people and temporal cues, builds TimeBlocks, verifies candidate cross-text associations and represents inferred dates as comparable temporal ranges.

AIH is designed to support, not replace, historical judgement. Each result retains its source, sentence position, intermediate temporal context and uncertainty so researchers can inspect the evidence, revise an inference and decide its historical meaning.

  • AI-assisted Q&A: Ask questions around existing chronologies and original evidence to receive better-grounded explanations.
  • One-click translation and biography generation: Transform structured chronologies into materials that are easier to read, share, and write from.
  • Private saving and public sharing: Users can keep their chronologies private or publish them for others to study, cite, and continue revising.
  • Community revision and AI Review: Users can submit revision suggestions, and the system helps check evidence and plausibility while final judgment remains human.
